Affordable Homes
Affordable housing is a topic that comes up frequently in economic, national and political news. I personally don’t like the term as I don’t think many people like to admit that they live in an affordable house. It harks back to public housing. I don’t talk about owning an affordable car. But with the lack of inventory across the nation, it still garners national attention.
Atlanta is one of the hidden gems in America. Yes, many people know the city and metro Atlanta is now considered the 6th largest metropolitan area in the U.S. with over 6.3 million people. Yet very few people have visited the city outside of the Southeast. Many visit mostly for business and personal reasons. I don’t think many in the Northeast or West Coast say that they would like to visit Atlanta for their vacation. Never even mind those who live abroad. But anyone who has spent some time in the area knows that it is a great place to work and raise your family.
Atlanta, especially inside the I-285 perimeter, is a great place for first-time homebuyers. It is quickly gentrifying but has the old historical charm that is lacking in many other growing cities. Of course, there are rough areas, but those are what appeals to many young professionals and those from the more expensive areas of the country. One of our goals is to help those who think they cannot buy a home purchase a home here. It is surprisingly easy and affordable!
